I went from being scared to even get in the car to being a confident driver learning with Harriet. Part of the reason for this was having the chance the drive on a road in my first lesson, which I thought I would never be able to do! Harriet is patient and friendly so I always felt comfortable and safe in my lessons. Having passed my driving test and also completed the pass plus driving course with Harriet I would seriously struggle in faulting her. She is extremely knowledgeable and with her background knowledge in Phycology she was instantly able to make me feel calm and confident along with being comfortable in the car. She is patient and understanding and always willing to change lesson plans to suit accordingly towards the individuals worries, concerns or needs. She was always prompt and punctual ensuring the car was regularly valeted and always presented herself professionally. She is also flexible and works many days of the week making her accessible around multiple different lifestyles. Each lesson is tailored and structured for the aim of the individual learning to get the most out of the time spent behind the wheel. Harriet is very good at providing constructive feedback in the hope for development. She is very passionate about teaching you great driving skills not only to pass the test but for life! Having spent over four months learning with Harriet I truly believe I will carry forward her teachings for the rest of my life. Not only is she amazing at her job, she’s a very relatable, honest and a trustworthy person, I will sincerely miss her and our lessons. I have already recommended her and will continue to do so!
I began my driving lessons with Harriet in October 2016. I have had previous lessons with another instructor who was not very good. I used to dread my lessons and felt uncomfortable in the car with him. Once I started with Harriet I felt very relaxed and looked forward to my lessons each week. I needed to pass my driving test for my job and Harriet made sure I was ready. I felt as though I have learned everything I need to know and I now feel comfortable and confident driving on my own. Harriet is an excellent driving instructor who is patient, calm, professional and very pleasant to be around. I would highly recommend Harriet to my friends and family who are looking to start their driving lessons and will ensure them they will be taught by a great teacher!

Hope this is ok x Harriet was the first driving instructor I had ever had. She had been recommended to me by a work colleague but I was extremely nervous being a complete beginner. From the first time that I got into the car, Harriet put me at ease and I can honestly say that I enjoyed every lesson. With feeling so fearful about the whole thing I could not envisage one day passing my test and being able to drive but Harriet somehow manages to instil hope and confidence and encourages you. Even on the day of the test when I felt overwhelmed by nerves, she was able to make me laugh and helped me to relax. Being able to drive can change your life and I am very grateful to Harriet that she has enabled me to do this. Thank you!

Deciding to learn to drive with Harriet Miller's driving academy was the best decision I could have made. Harriet is very patient, calm and makes you feel at ease when driving, which is exactly what you need in a driving instructor. The determination in Harriet to make all her pupils the best they can be and the extra time she takes to ensure success is what makes her driving school different from the rest. I have finally passed my driving test and I can honestly say I could not have done it without Harriet’s teaching, support and encouragement. She is an extremely experienced, professional and dedicated driving instructor. She also puts a lot of thoughts into the lessons, keeps a record of my driving progress and plans the lessons well to develop my skills. Before I started taking lessons with Harriet, I was a very nervous and hesitant learner driver, partly due to my previous experiences with other driving instructors. But after taking lessons with her, I knew I was being taught the proper and safe way to drive. With previous instructors, I struggled to learn manoeuvres, but with Harriet I was able to complete them with ease thanks to her teaching methods. My driving has improved greatly and my confidence grew as a result of her calm and constructive approach. She has prepared me well for the test and has taught me a valuable skill for life. I have been having driving lessons on and off for a very long time, 25 years. I have taken my driving test three times previously. It is fair to say that since failing my last test 7 years ago, I had given up hope of ever driving my own car. I have had quite a few good driving instructors, and more than a few abysmal ones. I had learned with AA and BSM, male and female instructors, here in Liverpool, London and Chester. I started to dread the lessons, often getting physically ill before a lesson. The test would fill me with absolute dread that I just knew I wouldn’t pass… and I didn’t. A few months ago, I met Harriet, and all of that changed. From the beginning when I spoke to Harriet on the phone, I knew things were different. Harriet wanted to know about me. It wasn’t about teaching a pupil to drive, it was about my journey and experiences. I just knew from the first time that I met her, that I could do it, I wasn’t going to give up. Though I was so nervous and full of dread, at the end of the lesson, something had changed. Harriet had given me so much hope, and belief in myself. Within a few hours of driving, Harriet works holistically with you, she challenges the mental processes, the way you think about driving. She prepares you physically, calming you down, chatting, and having a laugh with you. Harriet possesses excellent interpersonal skills, an abundance of patience, she is calm, totally professional, fiercely dedicated, and is so knowledgeable about her profession. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I looked forward to my lessons, I enjoyed driving. I stopped being nervous, and relaxed.Within 3 months I had passed my test, my life has changed. I had been putting off learning to drive for a few years because I was scared of the idea of driving. However once I was in the car with Harriet I felt right at ease. Her enthusiasm for driving shines through in every lesson and makes you want to be the best driver you can be. I went from being scared of driving to passing first time and feeling confident behind the wheel. Her lessons are very relaxed and something I looked forward to every week. Harriet has been an amazing teacher, and has not just taken me from zero to pass - but has genuinely made me want to be the best driver I can be! She honestly cares about your progress, and puts her all into making you a good driver. I'm so happy I didn't go with one of the big driving instructor chains, because of the high quality teaching and enthusiasm she provides. Aside from this, Harriet's lessons are amazing value for money in terms of her brilliant teaching, dedication, and years of experience in getting students up to scratch (whilst also having fun!).
