I started driving lessons with Harriet at the end of April 2010. I was very nervous as it had been over 10 years since I last had a lesson but I really needed to get driving after having my first child in February. Harriet was highly recommended to me by a good friend so I rang her up and within a week had my first lesson. I started off extremely nervous but very quickly built up a raport with Harriet and began to enjoy my lessons and actually looked forward to them! Harriet was always flexible with my limited free time and fitted in lessons to suit me. She built my confidence up very quickly and when I doubted myself she was always encouraged me. I felt able to take things at my own pace and although Harriet guided me firmly when I doubted myself, it did not feel like pressure. I found manoeuvres particularly difficult and so Harriet broke them down in the simplest way which meant I was able to take them step by step and therefore mastered them a lot sooner than I ever imagined. Harriet booked my practical test when she felt I was ready and in the run up to it, helped me prepare in every way possible. When it came to the day I felt confident and ready not only to take my test, but also then to start driving independently (with my Son in the car)! I was extremely happy to pass my test - I never thought driving lessons could be as fun as they were with Harriet, she made learning to drive an enjoyable experience . I found Harriet always to be patient and calm. I would and have already, recommended Harriet to anybody looking for a driving instructor!". I began taking lessons with Harriet in September 2009. I find her method of instruction to be professional and understanding. Harriet also has a great deal of patience which is a necessity when dealing with novice drivers. In November I took the theory test and thanks to Harriet's help, passed. I continue to take lessons with Harriet and have been given a date in April to take the practical test. I would gladly recommend Harriet to anybody contemplating learning to drive
I Have Been Learning To Drive With Harriet Since March 2009 I Took My Theory Test In September Which I Didn\'t Think I Would Pass But With Harriet\'s Support I Did I Find Harriet A Very Calming Influence When I Am Driving If I Find That I Have Difficulty With A Manoeuvre And Doubt Myself Harriet Will Reasure Me That I Can Do It Before I Started With Harriet I Had No Driving Experience At All And Was Very Nervous At The Thought But Know I Have The Confidence To Get In The Car And Drive
I found Harriet to be a professional instructor who had the knowledge and ability to give me the skills needed to drive safely and properly on the roads. When I first began my driving lessons with Harriet I was extremely nervous about every aspect of driving a car but with Harriet’s patient and professional driving tuition I was able to pass my driving test first time. Her style of tuition is a fast easy way of understanding all aspects of modern day driving and has given me the experience to become a confident and more experienced driver. i would highly reccommened harriet to anyone in the future as i have done so to my friends
I began learning to drive with Harriet towards early December 2007. Having had very little driving experience before hand I was a complete novice and was actually quite nervous. However, after explaining the basics to me and familiarising myself with the car and the various controls, Harriet made me feel extremely at ease and confident driving on public roads. Her calm and relaxed personality and teaching style made me feel all the more confident and meant that I was able to master the many routines and manoeuvres quickly, without getting too complacent as I was constantly being tested and pushed that little bit further, this I felt meant that I was able to reach test standard earlier. After approximately 27 hours of tuition, Harriet advised me to put in for my test on 10th March 2008. I felt nervous on the day, however Harriet showed extreme confidence in me and I knew that she wouldn’t tell me to take my test without me being ready first. Having passed my test first time and with only 5 minors, I then decided to complete the Pass Plus course with Harriet, as I really enjoyed the learning process with her. During the Pass Plus sessions, I covered many things such as weather driving and driving on country lanes. To put these new skills into practise, Harriet decided that we would drive to Wales, on a mix of country lanes and motorways. This was excellent fun and I felt extremely confident, especially on fast and winding country lanes due to the safe, fun and friendly learning environment which Harriet creates. I have now completed the Pass Plus course which I would also highly recommend as not only has it lowered my insurance premiums on my own car, but I feel that it has given me the skills and the knowledge to drive safely in a variety of different situations. Overall, I would highly recommend Harriet as a driving instructor. She makes the daunting task of learning to drive extremely easy and fun, her pass rate speaks for itself!
My name is Jenny. I am 26 and a trainee teacher. I have been learning to drive with Harriet Miller since January. I have found her to have a very professional and friendly manner. She is punctual and reliable. As a trainee teacher I have many demands on my time and Harriet has been very flexible to ensure I receive the lessons I need at my convenience. I have progressed from being a nervous driver with little experience to a confident driver almost ready to take my test. Harriet has provided me with materials to help me with my theory and through discussion, modelling and calm instruction she has made me feel very comfortable and safe on the road.
